Ugandan artist Zex Bilangilangi has criticized Marcus Rashford's snub from the Ballon d'Or nominations' list, which includes among others, Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.

The 'Ratata' hit maker believes the Manchester United forward performed way better than the Arsenal duo and others last season, to deserve a place on the coveted list.

"When you look deeply, Rashford had a better season than any Arsenal player," the musician, who is a staunch Manchester United fan, noted.

"Thirty goals and 11 assists, won a trophy, played in two finals and sent United to the UEFA Champions League," he defended.

"On the other hand, all the Arsenal lot did was coming second in the Premier League. The nomination is rigged," Bilangilangi added.

Rashford was in sensational form for the Red Devils last season, bagging 30 goals and 11 assists in 56 appearances across all competitions.

He scored 17 times and assisted five in the Premier League, firing Erik ten Hag’s side to a third-place finish in the manager’s inaugural campaign.

He also notched six goals and two assists in nine Europa League outings, although Man United failed to get past the quarter-final stage of the tournament.

The England international featured six times in the League Cup and rippled the net six times, firing the Red Devils to the trophy – their first in six years.

Rashford took his exceptional form to the international scene, starring for England at the 2022 World Cup tournament and scored three times despite starting in just one of his five appearances.

On the other hand, Saka managed just 15 goals and 12 assists for Arsenal in all competitions last season, managing three strikes for England at the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Odegaard managed 16 goals and seven assists in all competitions for the Gunners.

However, despite their contributions, it is clear that Rashford's exceptional performances outshone both Saka and Odegaard.

With his impressive goal-scoring record, crucial assists, and ability to shine on both the domestic and international stage, Rashford truly deserves to be recognized among the elite players in the world.

It is a shame that he was overlooked for the Ballon d'Or nominations, but his talent and impact on the game speak for themselves.
