Prayerful First Lady Remi Tinubu celebrates the Super Falcons of Nigeria's World Cup victory against Australia.

Remi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is back on the social media trends.

In their second group match of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, the Super Falcons of Nigeria defeated the Matildas of Australia by a score of 3-2.

The Super Falcons tied the game at halftime after Uchenna Kanu scored on a deflected Ajibade effort.

Osinachi Ohale was the recipient of a strike from Ajibade that came from a corner kick that gave the Super Falcons the lead.

Oshoala was able to score the third goal by taking advantage of Australia's shoddy defense. 

The Super Falcons managed to hang on to defeat the home team in an unexpected victory and take the lead in the group.

Before their departure, the First Lady charged the Super Falcons to win the World Cup.

Remi could be seen beaming in a viral video after the match concluded in Nigeria's favor.

An assistant to the First Lady named Busola Kukoyi shared a video of Tinubu praying during the final minute of the game, which saw Australia down by one goal.

Remi Tinubu encouraged the Super Falcons to work hard so they could live up to Nigerians' expectations while drumming up support for the team and pointing out how important a unifying sport was for the nation.

Busola Kukoyi tweeted, “The first lady who’s a big fan of Oshoala and Chiamaka prayed throughout the closing minutes of the game and God answered her prayers..Onto the next.”

The Super Falcons got a blessing from President Bola Tinubu before the game and delivered in style.

The Super Falcons now only need to avoid a defeat against Ireland in their final group game to qualify for the second round.
