Italy's former prime minister and AS Monza president Silvio Berlusconi, has revealed he has been bombarded with calls over whether he will fulfil his promise of offering his Monza players sex workers after they beat Juventus on Sunday.

The controversial 86-year-old businessman, who now owns Serie A side Monza, shockingly promised the players at their Christmas party last month a 'bus full of wh**es' if they beat AC Milan or Juventus this season.

Fast forward to Sunday, January 29, 2023, the newly-promoted club defeated Juventus away from home in a result that sent shockwaves through the spine of football lovers on social media this past weekend.

Monza caused one of the biggest upsets of the Italian top-flight campaign so far by beating Max Allegri's side 0-2 in their backyard.

Following the result, Berlusconi admitted the topic of providing prostitutes for his players as a reward has already been brought up.

Speaking after the game, the former AC Milan owner said: 'Over 100 people have already called me, and they ask me to fulfil my commitment.' via Football Italia

The vulgar promise was made during his speech at the club's official Christmas party, after he took the microphone, praised the work of head coach Raffaele Palladino before making the bawdy vow to widespread laughter among the listening audience.

'I decided to add an extra stimulation, so I told the lads "you will play Milan, Juventus, etc, so if you beat one of these big teams, I will have you greeted in the locker room by a bus full of wh**es".' Berlusconi was quoted to have said as translated by Football Italia.

The media tycoon's speech was widely shared on social media and was met with widespread criticism.

However, Berlusconi had since defended his remarks as 'a simple dressing room joke' and bashed his critics for their 'total lack of humour' for attacking him 'so gratuitously'.

Silvio Berlusconi is the former owner of AC Milan.

Berlusconi is best known for his three reigns as Italy's prime minister between 1994 and 1995, 2001 and 2006, and 2008 and 2011 as leader of the Forza Italia party.

He was previously the owner of Italian giants and current defending champions AC Milan from 1986 to 2017 before taking over at Monza in 2018.
