"Probably will never happen" - Ngannou dashes hope of fight against Jones.

Cameroonian-French professional mixed martial artist Francis Ngannou has given his remarks about the main event of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 285 edition.

American professional mixed martial artist Jonathan Jones was crowned the new UFC heavyweight title holder.

Jones at UFC 285 recorded a first-round submission victory against French professional mixed martial artist Ciryl Gane.

It was a massive victory for Jones on his return to the UFC after a three-year break.

After the fight, Ngannou took to his official social media platforms to praise Jones for his victory against Gane.

A message on his Twitter account said, "Good job Jonny Boy, Sincerely, The heavyweight king."

Ngannou was the UFC heavyweight champion until he was stripped of the title earlier in the year.

Jones responded to the comments by Ngannou with derogatory remarks calling him a bitch.

Ngannou has now taken to his official YouTube platform to give a detailed analysis of the fight between Jones and Gane.

Breaking down the fight between Jones and Gane, Ngannou said, “I knew that if Jones shows up in a good space mentally, not like his last two fights, he’s going to prevail in this fight but I didn’t see this fight go so short.

“I think this fight could have been longer. I was surprised though. I was surprised by the way the fight ended.

“I think seeing even Ciryl’s reaction, he was surprised as well because he wasn’t even defending.

“He wasn’t thinking that a submission can come from the way he was at. That was quite a great performance from Jones.

“Not very surprising because I knew that if I could outwrestle Ciryl, Jones would be another story. You’ll have a hot knife if Jones could lay his hands on him.”

Ngannou then went on to reveal that as he pursues his career in boxing a return to the UFC to face Jones is unlikely.

He added, “Fun fight. The fight that I would have liked to have, but unfortunately we’re not there.

“That fight didn’t happen and probably will never happen now that he’s on a very long contract with the UFC, so that’s not happening anymore.”

While Jones rules the UFC heavyweight division, Ngannou has targeted Deontay Wilder for his first boxing fight.
