Amazon Prime revealed the “Road House” movie was their 'most watched produced film debut ever on a worldwide basis' - attracting 50million viewers over the first two weekends of the film airing.

Not only did McGregor deliver a standout performance, but he also says he secured the title of the highest-paid first-time actor in Hollywood history, surpassing previous records set by industry icons like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

‘That’s the fact, the highest paid first time actor of all time so it’s a nice feather in the cap,” he was quoted to have said as per Daily Mail.

'There’s not an action star in Hollywood that could take me on and that’s a fact, so let’s see how it goes.'

The 35-year-old controversial Irishman, revealed he was the highest-paid first-time actor, claiming he made over £4million for his work on the movie - which sees Gyllenhaal star as Elwood Dalton, a former MMA fighter who begins working as a bouncer for a bar in Florida Keys, before McGregor's 'Knox' character tries to take over the establishment.

McGregor, who has not fought in the cage since his 2021 defeat to Dustin Poirer, said he took a 'fake it til you make it' approach' to acting.
