Preparing for his return to the Octagon, Adesanya teamed up with comedian Dave Chappelle.
New Zealand professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer of Nigerian descent Israel Adesanya is having fun ahead of a return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
The 33-year-old Adesanya teamed up with American stand-up comedian and actor David Chappelle at an event.
The last style bender at the stand-up comedy event was also able to meet with American actor Jason Momoa known for his role in the superhero movie “Aquaman”.
Chapelle is a four-time recipient of both the Grammy and the Primetime Emmy Awards and one of the greatest comedians of his generation.
Adesanya could barely contain his excitement when he finally met the comedic mastermind based on his posts.

Adesanya starstruck to meet Dave Chappelle and Jason Momoa
Adesanya took to his social media platforms to show off meeting with the American celebrities
On his official Twitter account, he said, “Just met Dave Chappelle and now we cool…I’m starstruck!!! Yes I am!!!.”
Adesanya also put out photos of the meeting on his official Instagram account.
Along with the photos was a message that said, "Crazy experience watching a master live.
"Imma keep watching the greats and giving them their flowers while they’re here 💐. Then there’s my hot mate Jason too!."

Asides from meeting with Chappelle and Momoa, Adesanya teamed up with other celebrities and famous comedians present at the event such as Donnell Rawlings, and Marshall Brandon.
Adesanya continues to put in the work ahead of his return to the Octagon to face Brazilian rival and reigning middleweight champion Alex Pereira.
After losing the title to Pereira last year November, Adesanya has stated that he is motivated to get his revenge when they meet for the fourth time.
Adesanya has lost twice to Pereira in kickboxing events as far back as 2015 and 2016 and defeat in November last year makes it a three-fight losing streak against the Brazilian.
The style bender will aim to get revenge when they meet in the headline event at UFC 287 scheduled to take place in Miami on Sunday, April 9, 2023.
