The clash came about when Zuckerberg, the brains behind Meta, and Musk, the mysterious businessman and CEO of SpaceX, posted on Twitter that they would want to fight in a cage.
Zuckerberg, who never backs down from a challenge, answered back with a strong retort.
He posted a screenshot of Musk's tweet on his Instagram account with the audacious comment, "send me location."
Although some people might have thought it was a prank, dependable sources have confirmed that Zuckerberg's post was anything but a joke.
The world is eagerly awaiting Musk's next move, as the ball is now in his court.

Musk versus Zuckerberg would be the best-case scenario for wealthy CEOs of the tech industry to actually engage in combat.
Musk, 51, is physically larger than Zuckerberg and has mentioned participating in "real hard-core street fights" while growing up in South Africa.
In the meantime, Jiu-Jitsu competitions are already being won by 39-year-old Zuckerberg, an ambitious MMA fighter.
He also says he recently finished the strenuous "Murph Challenge" workout in under 40 minutes.
A Musk-versus-Zuckerberg contest would be one of the most fascinating fights ever, regardless of the outcome.
