Sergio Agüero welcomes 1st child with girlfriend Sofia Calzetti years after dumping Maradona’s daughter

Sofia Calzetti and Sergio 'Kun' Agüero have announced a heartwarming chapter in their relationship.

The couple recently took to social media to share the arrival of their first daughter, Olivia, born on September 13, 2024.

The Premier League and Man City legend and his partner shared the news on Instagram, posting a touching image of themselves holding their newborn's tiny hand, accompanied by a message: “Welcome Olivia! We can’t express so much happiness in words.”

Agüero’s is now set to begin a second stint at fatherhood after his previous marriage to Giannina Maradona.

Agüero, 36, first began dating Calzetti, 28, in June 2019.

Despite maintaining a low profile initially, the pair made their relationship public during Agüero's birthday celebration later that year.

Their romance faced its own share of trials, including a brief separation last year, but the pair eventually reconciled.

Before finding love with Calzetti, Agüero’s personal life was marked by his high-profile marriage to Giannina Maradona, the daughter of late Argentine football legend, Diego Armando Maradona.

The former couple welcomed their son, Benjamín, in 2009, but their marriage ended in 2012  after four years amid public scrutiny. Giannina notably made some public outbursts on social media following their split.

While acknowledging the end of her marriage, she defended Agüero amid criticism from fans online, emphasizing that the breakdown of their marriage was a mutual fault rather than a single person’s.
