The player was a key star in the team that conquered the Premier League.

Gor Mahia defender Dennis Ng'ang'a is attracting interest from Zambian Super League side Zanaco.

The defender was an important figure in the Gor Mahia squad that won the 20th Football Kenya Federation Premier League title, and it is no surprise that he has started attracting suitors.

With interest surrounding him, it would be interesting to see whether K'Ogalo will be ready to let their valued asset leave.

After a grueling campaign that saw them pip Tusker to the title, Gor Mahia's primary focus now lies in the next season, when they will be engaging in different campaigns.

Their return to the CAF Champions League means head coach Johnathan McKinstry will need a deep and well-balanced squad, and letting Ng'ang'a leave is not expected, at least by fans.

Interest in the central defender comes as two players have left the local heavyweights. Peter Lwasa is understood to have left the club he had joined on a short-term deal from Kariobangi Sharks. On the other hand, Kagimu is said to have left in order to join FK Rabotnicki in Macedonia.

Both Ugandans were also regular starters under McKinstry, and the places left should be filled by new arrivals, which means the club is expected to be busy in the transfer market.

The former Uganda head coach would hope to keep his unit intact so that it gels well and that when the season begins, they will be a well-knit unit that can defend the league title and challenge further in CAF football and in the FKF Cup.
