Following Paul Mullin's lung injury versus Manchester United, Ryan Reynold, Co-owner of Wrexham has wished him a speedy recovery.

On Tuesday night, the League Two newcomers faced off against a young Red Devils team in San Diego which ended in a 3-1 defeat to Man United.

Mullin was substituted from the game after only 12 minutes due to a terrible collision with United goalie Nathan Bishop.

The forward was taken to the hospital for additional care after leaving the field and needed oxygen while he did so.

Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds has spoken about the incident and has wished the forward a speedy recovery.

Reynolds and Mullin’s comment

Ryan Reynolds, a co-owner of Wrexham, tweeted after the event, according to the Sun, "Paul Mullin puts his last drop of blood into everything he does. The entire @Wrexham_AFC community is pulling for a speedy recovery."

In a later selfie taken from his hospital bed, Mullin extended his thumb in appreciation of the words of support he had received.

He shared a picture of himself on Instagram and added a caption saying, "Thanks for all your messages! All good here!".

Bishop apologises for Mullin’s injury

After the match, Bishop apologised to Mullin on social media insisting it was an accident and no malicious intent.

Bishop said as reported by the Sun, "Just wanted to share my sincerest apologies to @PMullin7.

"A complete misjudgement and a genuine accident with 0 malicious intent at all! Wishing you the speediest recovery and hope to see you back scoring goals as soon as possible!"

Reynolds seemed appreciative of the opportunity to play a young Man United team despite the situation.

He tweeted saying, "Massive thanks to @ManUtd for the incredible opportunity to play against a legendary Premier league side."
