The Manchester City manager was furious following another poor display from his team as they suffered another setback in the title race.
Manchester City slumped to their second consecutive defeat in four days after they were surprisingly dumped out of the EFL Cup by Southampton on Wednesday night before surrendering their lead against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
City looked far from their brilliant best in the first period and could have been two goals down in the first 45 minutes in the Manchester Derby had United been a little bit more clinical with their finishing.
However, despite the Blues taking the lead in the second period courtesy of a goal from Jack Grealish, the defending champions could neither extend nor defend their lead as goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford ensured the visitors left Old Trafford with nothing positive.
The result now leaves Man City five points adrift of Arsenal, who could extend their lead if they beat Spurs in the North London derby tomorrow.

On the other hand, United, are only a point adrift of their local rivals in third with both legs firmly in the title race.

Speaking after the match at full-time, a visibly frustrated Guardiola appeared to concede defeat in his team’s quest to retain the league title.

The 51-year-old Spaniard was also seemingly frustrated with United's controversial equaliser.

The defending champions will have some time to reflect on their latest defeat before turning their attention to Spurs next week Thursday, January 19, 2023.
