Super Eagles Victor Osimhen made a point to celebrate with fans after his masterful display helped Nigeria past Cameroon in the AFCON 2023 in Cote d’Ivoire.
Osimhen put on a show as Nigeria thrashed the Indomitable Lions 2-0 to book a date with Angola in the quarterfinals on Saturday night.

The 25-year-old played his best game yet for the Super Eagles as they overcame a scare to send Cameroon packing from the AFCON 2023.
Osimhen assisted the decisive opener against the five-time winners and afterwards rushed to the stands to revel in the famous with jubilant supporters.

A video of the Napoli hitman jumping and cheering with Nigerian fans, who chanted his name following his talismanic performance was spotted by Pulse Sports Nigeria on social media platform X.com.
In the video, the fans chanted “Osimhen, Osimhen, Osimhen,” with the African footballer of the year acknowledging the love from the fans before his teammates joined him.
The special scenes between the Super Eagles star man and the fans in the stands underlined how much they appreciated his performance against the Lions but the importance of the striker’s leadership to Nigeria’s hopes for a fourth AFCON glory.
Despite his all-round display to inspire Nigeria, Osimhen was pipped to the CAF’s official man of the match award by two-goal hero, Ademola Lookman.
