The Australian gaffer has made a stunning start to life in the Premier League and has now reached a competition record

Ange Postecoglou's sensational start to life in the Premier League has earned the Tottenham manager a special place in the league’s history after the Australian won back-to-back Manager of the Month awards.

Postecoglu wins record-setting Manager of the Month award

Postecoglu was named Premier League Manager of the Month in his first month at Tottenham after a perfect start to the 2023/24 campaign, and he has now followed that up with a second award in his second month at the club.

The Australian gaffer has now become the first manager in Premier League history to claim Manager of the Month awards in his first two months in the league after he was named the recipient of the award for September as well.

No other manager has come close to achieving this feat, with few coaches possessing multiple awards in the same season.

Tottenham thriving under Australian boss

Postecoglou beat competition from Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery, Newcastle’s Eddie Howe, and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp to the September award.

The Tottenham manager, who also became the first Australian in the history of the Premier League to bag the award, led his Spurs side to three wins and four draws in the month of September, remaining undefeated in the league.

Tottenham, under Postecoglu, remain top of the Premier League table on goal difference with six wins from their opening eight matches.
