David de Gea and Manchester United are yet to find an agreement over a new contract and an exit is starting to look the most likely option.

De Gea's contract is up at the end of June and both parties have been locked in extension talks since January with very little progress made on that front.

He will be free to sign for any club from July 1 but the Spaniard has been consistent with his desire to continue at United. However, both parties are yet to find a resolution.

Should a compromise fail to be reached, the Red Devils are believed to be targeting Inter's Andre Onana and believe his suitability at playing out from the back and his composure on the ball will be perfect qualities for Erik ten Hag to build upon.

Another option would be to bring Dean Henderson, who spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, back into the fold and make him No 1 at Old Trafford.

De Gea is one of United’s highest earners, on around £375,000 per week, and even though he is believed to be open to taking a pay cut, there is still major distance between both parties and time is quickly running out.
