‘They are not the only team’ - Super Eagles star Onyedika faces transfer battle among European clubs
The 24-year-old has been a standout performer for the Belgian side since his move from FC Midtjylland, and his consistent displays have not gone unnoticed.
After being linked with AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt, and West Ham last summer, interest in the midfielder has intensified once again.
Reports suggest that Galatasaray have also entered the race for the Super Eagles star as they look to strengthen their squad.
Galatasaray wants Onyedika
Reports linking Onyedika to Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray have been confirmed by a source close to the player.
It is understood that Galatasaray has identified the midfielder as a primary target to strengthen their squad this winter.
"Yes, the Galatasaray interest is true," the source told Footy Africa. "But they are not the only team interested in him at the moment.
“In fact, they are not the only team in Turkey who want him. There is Galatasaray and another club I don’t want to mention, but they are in the top three in Turkey."
"Also, two teams in England want him," the source added. "One of them were after him in the last transfer window, and they are back for him again. One of the teams is a newly promoted team who are doing well at the moment."
"A lot depends on what Club Brugge are willing to take," the source explained. "It will be difficult for him to move because Brugge wants to win the title and also do well in the Champions League."
However, a substantial offer could change their stance. "I am sure if the right amount is tabled, they will allow him to go, but it is going to be very difficult," the source concluded.
“Club Brugge previously valued Onyedika at around €20 million, but with growing interest from multiple leagues, that asking price is expected to climb.
