The player with Zimbabwean roots has scored an impressive 15 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions this season.

South African Premier Soccer League side Marumo Gallants look to have resigned themselves to the possibility of losing experienced goal poacher Ranga Chivaviro during the upcoming transfer window.

Chivaviro has been a standout performer for the Bahlabane ba Ntwa and won himself plenty of admirers for his performances in the current CAF Confederation Cup season.

Among them are Tanzania Premier League moneybags Azam FC who are believed to have already started talks over a possible move from Limpopo to Dar es Salaam for the 30-year-old.

"Chivaviro is a player who has an excellent final touch. There is a possibility that he will be coming to Tanzania to link up with Azam," said a source.

Simba SC and Yanga have also entered the race, according to the player's agent Herve Tra Bi as per the South African publication KickOff.

"We are receiving interest both from local and international teams," said Bi. "There is also interest from Saudi Arabia, but unfortunately, I can't reveal their names.

"His contract with Marumo Gallants is set to expire next month. But he has an option [of an extra year]. We still have to discuss that with Marumo Gallants at the end of the season.

"The club has been good to the player, and everything has to be handled in a more professional manner if he has to leave the club at the end of the season."

Chivaviro has been in scintillating form for Marumo this season, as he has netted 10 goals in the South Africa Premier Soccer League and five in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The striker joined Marumo on a one-year deal with an option to extend his stay for another year, and Marumo are reported to have made their intentions known to Chivaviro that they intend to trigger that option.
