The Blues are set to have a new tactician next season after making managerial changes recently.

Raheem Sterling has described the kind of manager Chelsea should appoint.

Frank Lampard is in charge now, though on an interim basis, and a new boss is expected to arrive before the next season begins.

Lampard, who has overseen six games without a single win since he replaced the sacked Graham Potter, is the fourth manager for Chelsea this season.

"I'm not one to tell the club what to do, but from what I can gauge from where I was previously, organisation is the most important thing. Having a manager that has the final say on everything and it being his way with everyone having to follow that," Sterling told Sky Sports.

"Successful teams always have a manager that comes in, brings his blueprint, and everyone follows. If there are people who don't follow, then they are not part of the team, and that is how brutal it needs to be at a high level.

"It's a fine line between winning, coming second, and being in the position we are now. It's about everyone being on the same page, from my experience."

Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be leading the race to occupy the Stamford Bridge hot seat.

Meanwhile, Sterling has said this season is his career’s lowest point. He joined the Blues from Manchester City in a deal worth £47.5 million last summer, and the transfer has not been a success thus far.

The Blues are in the bottom half of the Premier League and have lost six straight games across all competitions.

"Personally, this is one of the lowest points in my career," Sterling added. "This might sound a bit weird, but it is also a great learning curve.

"It's been pretty smooth sailing, winning, winning, and winning, but sometimes in life stuff gets thrown at you, and it is a challenge that I'm looking forward to, hitting it head on and not trying to hide from it.

"It will only make me and  the group stronger. These challenges, not just in football but in life as well, are crucial to how we deal with things and how we kick on after."

The England international has scored only four goals and produced two assists in 24 league games.
