Sources say there is a "real concern" the Glazers may not sell Manchester United.

Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani is allegedly expressing concern that the Glazer family is yet to respond to his latest submission to buy Manchester United.

The Qatari Prime Minister, alongside INEOS’ Sir Jim Ratcliffe, submitted offers upwards of £5 billion (Ksh. 870 billion)  in May but sources say there is a "real concern" the Glazers may not sell United.

According to Manchester Evening News, Sheikh Jassim's 'premium' offer remains on the table and a source close to his camp said 'the next steps are up to the sellers and all we can do is wait'.

In February, reports suggested that both Joel and Avram Glazer, the United co-chairmen, were reluctant to sell. Their siblings Bryan, Edward, Kevin, and Darcie also sit on the United board.

In the recent book Grit, Rigour & Humour: The Ineos Story, Ratcliffe insists that the siblings have been an issue during discussions to buy the club.

It is understood there was discord among the Glazer siblings when they went put the club up for sale nine months ago.

There is still no agreement among the siblings as to what they want to do with United.

The Red Devils are already facing a storm over plans to end Mason Greenwood's 18-month suspension, although the club insists that a final decision has not been made.

A section of supporters protested against Greenwood's return outside Old Trafford before Monday's opening game against Wolves, and many more staged a separate anti-Glazer demonstration.

It followed a warning from the Manchester United Supporters' Trust that protests against the American owners will escalate if they do not sell up after raising fans' hopes by launching a strategic review nine months ago.

United fear a repeat of the angry scenes that led to the postponement of their game against Liverpool in May 2021 when protesters broke into Old Trafford following the collapse of the European Super League.
