Crystal Palace fans are not happy with manager Roy Hodgson after comments made following defeat to Tottenham.

Crystal Palace fans have called for the immediate dismissal of manager, Roy Hodgson, following comments he made about the club’s youngsters on Friday night.

Palace lost for the fourth time this season in the Premier League after a 2-1 defeat at home to leaders Tottenham at Selhurst Park.

The loss saw the visitors extend their lead at the top of the table to five points, with the Eagles sitting 12th.

Hodgson’s comments

With the club falling to another defeat, the 76-year-old spoke to the media after the game during his post-match press conference.

Hodgson noted that his second half substitutes did nothing after coming on for the Eagles, who grabbed a late consolation thanks to Jordan Ayew.

Roy Hodgson was not happy with the youngsters he featured against Spurs.

“They didn’t do anything for us at all,” the former England manager stated per Daily Mail.

“There was no disappointment today, maybe the young substitutes, who we like to think we can believe in and help us to a different level, didn’t show it,” he added.

“We became much weaker when i made the substitution. But unfortunately, sometimes when a game is drifting away from you one is tempted to do that,” he added.

Jesuran Rak-Sakyi, 21, Naouirou Ahamda, 21, and Matheus Franca, 19 were the players who came on for the Eagles.

The trio lasted 40 minutes but failed to impress their manager who expected an impact from them.

However, the comments by Hodgson did not go down well with fans of the club, who took to social media to express their disgust.

The fans also called for the dismissal of the Eagles’ boss whom they believed shattered the confidence of the youngsters.
