Al Nassr are through to the semi-final of the Arab Club Championship Cup after defeating Raja Casablanca in the quarter-finals.

Cristiano Ronaldo is in the hunt for his first silverware with the Saudi Pro League side, in the Arab Club Champions Cup.

Ronaldo opened the scoring for his team in the 19th minute before Sultan added the second for Al Nassr in the 29th minute.

Fofana made it three in the 38th minute before Raja Casablanca scored a consolation goal through an own goal from Al Nassr player Madu.

As it happened

Cristiano Ronaldo led the attack for Al Nassr in the Arab Club Championship Cup quarterfinal against Raja Casablanca.

Al Nassr started the game with a high intensity and were rewarded with the first goal by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Talisca gets the ball along the right flank, beats his marker and then cuts back to set up Ronaldo who rattles the net with a hit from outside the box, with his right foot.

Al Nassr doubled their lead in the 29th minute when Al Nassr attacked the counter with Sultan Al Ghanam making a forward run.

He beats his marker on the right flank and goes for goal himself with a shot past Zniti. After a VAR check, it is seen that he was well on-side.

The third goal came soon after in the 38th minute when Brozovic passed it to Telles, and the Brazilian’s cross was headed into the net by Fofana.

Raja Casablanca got a consolation goal before the sound of the halftime whistle when Madu made a defensive error and conceded an own goal.

Zrida gets the ball in the final third for Raja CA, who delivers a low cross in the centre. In a bid to clear the ball, Madu gets to it, but his touch sees the ball lob over Al-Aqidi and into his own net.

Ronaldo had the chance to score his second of the game but hit the woodwork from a curling strike.

Sultan wins the ball in the Al Nassr half and marches up the pitch. He beats two defenders as he barges into the box and passes to Ghareeb who then gets it to Ronaldo. Ronaldo stops, switches his attack and then shoots but the ball hits the woodwork.

The referee blew the final whistle as Al Nassr secure a place in the semi-final and edged closer to winning a trophy.
