Liverpool have been renamed Rejected FC by Chelsea fans after losing out on both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia signings

Fans have taken to mercilessly trolling Liverpool after the Merseyside club was passed up on by both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, who both agreed to join Chelsea instead.

Liverpool lose out on multiple midfield targets

Liverpool’s last few transfer windows have been characterised by consistent rejections after they lost out on a number of prospective midfield signings.

The Merseysiders were frontrunners for the signing of English midfielder Jude Bellingham before he decided to join Real Madrid and were also usurped by Chelsea, who hijacked a deal for Enzo Fernandez from them in January.

The Reds have not fared any better with more recent attempts to sign midfielders, as their attempt to hijack Chelsea’s move for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo backfired spectacularly, allowing the Blues to hijack Liverpool’s move for top target Romeo Lavia.

With both Caicedo and Lavia making it clear that they did not want to join Liverpool this summer and would instead prefer a move to Chelsea, fans have taken to social media to troll Liverpool for their transfer market failures, officially dubbing them “Rejected FC.”

Chelsea fans were especially brutal in their assessment of Liverpool’s transfer window and made good fun at the expense of the Reds.

After several rejections over the last two transfer windows, Liverpool still have a DM-sized hole in their midfield and could try to sign Fiorentina’s Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat while praying that he also does not reject them.
