Real Madrid is the club for you - Cristiano Ronaldo offers advice to Spain youngster
Cristiano Ronaldo has allegedly advised Nico Williams to join Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old Spanish forward has been linked with a potential move to Los Blancos this summer.
Following Spain's loss to Portugal in the UEFA Nations League final, Ronaldo was seen in deep conversation with Williams.
What Ronaldo said
According to reports from Defensa Central, Ronaldo told Williams, "Your way of playing is ideal for the Bernabéu. You are going to succeed there. You have to go to Real Madrid."
Williams is currently under contract with Athletic Bilbao until 2027, with a reported €60m release clause.
Real Madrid's interest in him comes after they invested €45m in Franco Mastantuono this summer.
If Williams joins Real Madrid, he may face stiff competition for game time, particularly from Vinicius Junior, who operates in Williams' favored left forward position.
Ronaldo's own move to Real Madrid in 2009 for a then-world-record fee of €94m proved historic.
During his nine-year stay, he scored 451 goals in 438 games, becoming the club's record goalscorer and winning 16 trophies.
