Nollywood icon Chinedu Ikedieze gets involved in the GOAT debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Veteran Nigerian actor Chinedu Ikdieze, popularly known as Aki—one of the characters he donned over the course of his illustrious career—has weighed in on the GOAT debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Chinedu ‘Aki’ is a Nigerian film sweetheart and was a member of the comedic duo ‘Aki and Paw Paw’ with his friend and colleague Osita Iheme.

The duo has been responsible for many laughs in Nigerian households, from their breakout movie ‘Aki Na Ukwa’ in 2003 to the more recent eponymous movie ‘Aki and Paw Paw’.

What Aki said about Messi and Ronaldo

Aki, who stars as ‘Efe Tobore’ in the MNet award-winning series ‘The Johnsons', ensures to endear himself to the younger generation—as he did their parents, uncles and aunties—with his activity on the Gen Z-leaning social media platform TikTok.

The ‘Magic Cap’ star is very active on the platform and regularly partakes in the many challenges TikTok is famous for.

Most recently, he took on the footballer versus challenge, which seeks to determine the user's favourite player by pitting two against each other in a cup format until there is an eventual last man standing.

The challenge pitted some of the world's biggest stars against each other, but Chinedu, having a set hierarchy, made quick picks in each round, eliminating all those who came up against Messi and Ronaldo, including Neymar, whom the actor ensured to eulogise, chiming ‘na player' on mentions of his name.

The final round was between Messi and Ronaldo, and the actor did not hesitate to pick the Argentine World Cup winner, hailing him as the GOAT.
