France Football reveals full list of nominees for the fifth edition of the Kopa Trophy.

France Football has released the full 10-man nominee list for the Kopa Trophy, which pits some of the best young footballers in the world against each other.

The award, named after French football legend Raymond Kopa, became a part of the Ballon d'Or award ceremony in 2018, and it is given to the best U-21 player during the period in review.

Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe was the first recipient of the award. Since then, Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt received the award in 2019; there was a break in 2020 due to COVID; and Barcelona duo Pedri and Gavi won it in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

LALIGA has the biggest representation on the list with five nominees. Three from Barcelona and two from Real Madrid.

Manchester United's new signing Rasmus Hojlund makes it for his exploits at Atalanta and Paris Saint-Germain loanee at Leipzig Xavi Simmons got in for his impeccable season at PSV Eindhoven last term.

Lens' Wahi, another player who earned a move this summer, is rewarded for his brilliant season for Montpellier last term, where he scored 19 goals in 33 games.

Musiala gets another chance after coming third twice consecutively, and the only centre-back on the list, Benfica's Antonio Silva is rewarded for being a regular in a league-winning Benfica side as a teenager.
