Kenya Police FC's goalkeeper Patrick Matasi stirs speculation with a cryptic post amidst his pursuit of the season's Golden Glove.

Kenya Police FC goalkeeper Patrick Matasi has stirred the pot of speculation with a cryptic message on social media.

The 36-year-old, who joined the Law Enforcers in March last year from Tusker FC, has been a key figure in the team, known for his exceptional skill between the posts.

Matasi, a contender for this season's golden glove with eight clean sheets, posted on Facebook on Monday morning just hours after his side's 1-0 win over Bidco United.

"When you see a rat playing near the cat then it means there is a hole around," he wrote.

This intriguing statement, coming just a week after the opening of the mid-season transfer window, has fueled various interpretations and rumors about his future in the club.

Kenya Police FC, despite significant investments in top-tier players during the last transfer window, has had a fluctuating performance.

Currently placed eighth in the table with 27 points, they trail 13 points behind leaders Gor Mahia.

This position is somewhat unexpected, given that the team boasts the highest number of players in the national team, Harambee Stars.

Matasi's journey to Kenya Police FC was conditioned by an agreement with Tusker FC, ensuring his recruitment into the National Police Service.

He had returned to Tusker for Matasi on a two-year contract, following his stint with St George Club in Ethiopia.

His career, marked by constant movement, saw him initially depart Tusker FC in 2018 for Ethiopia, after a brief six-month stay.

Matasi, who has also played for Posta Rangers, is well-established in Kenyan football, particularly known for his role as a goalkeeper in Harambee Stars, even participating in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The recent post by Matasi raises questions about his current state of mind and his future with Kenya Police FC.

His cryptic message could be interpreted in various ways – is it a hint at possible dissatisfaction, a playful nudge at transfer speculations, or simply a philosophical musing?

The ambiguity of the statement has left fans and analysts guessing, with many eagerly awaiting any official word from either the player or the club.
