Tusker and Kakamega Homeboyz clash in the Mozzart Cup final this Saturday.

Abrasive Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has opened a war of words with his village mate and Tusker fc head coach Robert Matano ahead of their continental clinching fixture this Saturday.

Tusker and Homeboyz clash in the Mozzart Cup final with the winner grabbing the sole ticket to represent Kenya in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup. The two are familiar to each other having been involved in Kenyan football for decades.

Shimanyula threw the first salvo at Matano claiming the Tusker tactician is fond of consulting the dark world to win games.

“I know all eyes are on the biggest match remaining in the country and I can assure you that we will win by a big margin. We know our opponents and their tactics but we are prepared well enough to beat them on the pitch,” Shimanyula begun cordially

His tirade took another twist when he blatantly linked Matano to witchcraft but warned that the experienced tactician will nnot prevail this time.

“I know Matano is fond of using witchcraft to win games. It is unfortunate for him that despite his dark effort he did not win the league. The cup is also going to elude him. This time he must fire his witch doctor,” added the Kakamega tycoon

Matano had earlier this season engaged in a verbal spat with AFC Leopards coach Patrick Aussems after the Belgian tactician in charge of Ingwe referred to him as a ‘Juju man’ using old, outdated tactics in modern football.

The Tusker coach threatened legal action over the same and demanded an apology and a retraction of the same but the defiant Ingwe coach maintained his stance.

Matano is under pressure to secure continental football after Gor Mahia piped Tusker to the CAF Champions League ticket by a single point.

Matano has won the FKF Premier League title three times with Tusker including two back to back titles in seasons preceding the just ended.
