Ouma contributed effectively to their attack, making one shot on target and completing one out of four crosses attempted after completing the full match.

Kenyan international Erick Ouma shone as AIK beat Michael Olunga’s former club Djurgardens 2-0 in a Swedish topflight league match on Sunday to keep their survival hopes alive.

Marcelo contributed effectively to their attack, making one shot on target and completing one out of four crosses attempted.

Although his passing was not of the required standard, passing only 23 times successfully from 24 attempts, his energy and speed bombing up and down the flanks created width for the AIK attackers, who moved into channels and had room created for them to score.

AIK opened the scoring in the 52nd minute through Ioannis Pittas, as he got on the end of a Dino Besirovic assist to score. The Stockholm based side managed to keep their lead intact, and in the second minute of stoppage time, netted their second goal through Pittas yet again after being set up nicely by Rui Modesto.

The victory for AIK is priceless for the fans, who are hoping that they will not relegated from the division which they last won in 2018.

Their emotion has not been hidden, as last week, a young fan made the marauding fullback give him his phone number and shirt number after his impressive performance helped the side get all the three points.

AIK had scrapped to victory in a relegation six-pointer against Degerfors, which prompted the young fan to approach him,

The young boy gave Marcelo a passionate hug after a solid display that saw the wingback aid the team to their eighth league clean sheet of the season.

The former Gor Mahia defender has a soft spot for young AIK fans and in a previous video he has been seen playing with them in a park.
