Erik Ten Hags' men returned to winning ways against Lens in their preseason friendly despite Andre Onana’s error.

Manchester United are coming from back-to-back losses against Real Madrid and Dortmund in their preseason friendly.

They found a way to get back to winning ways against Lens by defeating them 3-1 as they continue their preparation for the new season.

Lens took the lead early in the first half after new signing Andre Onana was caught out of position and was lobbed from near the halfway line.

Man United responded back with three goals in the second half from Marcus Rashford, Antony and Casemiro to win the game for the Red Devils.

As it happened

Mason Mount and Andre Onana made their Old Trafford debuts today as part of Manchester United's extremely strong starting lineup.

The first half started with Man United creating a lot of chances but could not convert any to put them in the lead.

In the 23rd minute, Lens took the lead when new signing Andre Onana made a bad clearance which landed at the feet of Florian Sotoca on the halfway line.

Florian Sotoca then hit a long shot from a long distance, lobbing Andre Onana from near the halfway line.

The Red Devils tried to get back into the game in the first half but all their efforts were not enough.

However, they got their juice back in the second half and scored the equaliser when Antony slid the ball forward with a brilliant ball to Marcus Rashford whose effort was deflected by a Lens defender over the legs of their keeper.

United made it two shortly after the equaliser when Garnacho sprinted into the Lens half and showed great patience before finding Antony via a great touch from Rashford with the Brazilian making no mistake with his finish.

Casemiro scored the third goal of the game in the 59th minute when the ball was crossed into the box and it met the head of Marcus Rashford but appeared to go in off Casemiro before hitting the back of the net.

The referee signalled for the end of the game as Manchester United defeated Lens 3-1 in their preparation for the new season.
