Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman fired Atalanta to a crucial 2-0 Serie A victory over Fiorentina, snapping an eight-match winless streak and delivering his second goal in as many games.

The goal cemented the resurgence of the recently dethroned African Player of the Year under new boss Raffaele Palladino ahead of AFCON 2025.

Fiorentina started on the front foot, but Marco Carnesecchi's stunning fifth-minute double-save denied Moise Kean and Roberto Piccoli.
