Kylian Mbappe spoke to the media regarding France's chances of winning another World Cup after losing to Argentina in 2022.

France got to the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar but lost to Messi’s Argentina in a penalty shootout.

The PSG attacker was influential for his national team, scoring eight goals in the tournament and also scoring a hat trick in the final.

The French international Kylian Mbappe granted the media an interview today and spoke of winning another World Cup with France.

Mbappe’s interview about the World Cup

The 24-year-old was interviewed by France Football where he spoke about his performance at the previous World Cup and France's chances of winning it again.

During an interview with France Football, Mbappe was asked about losing the World Cup Final, he said, “If we lost, it is because we were meant to lose. I believe that's always the case.

“I see things that way. It’s just postponed. I think we will win one again. The team has that desire, that dream. I hope to say in a few years that it was a blessing in disguise.”

Mbappe believes his team's players have the desire to win another World Cup and insists that they will win another one.

The Paris Saint Germain star was also questioned by journalists about his involvement beyond football.

Still speaking to France Football, he said, “I will fight for what I believe is right, not just content with playing football.

“Because today, my voice matters. My voice should not be overestimated, but it should not be underestimated either. It is important to speak up when It’s necessary.

The France star is currently facing a hard time with the PSG board after rejecting a one-year contract extension offered to him.

PSG has asked that he signs the one-year contract or he will be sold this summer as they are not ready to lose him for free.
