The Law Enforcers' goalkeeping coach previews exciting season developments and strategies.

Kenya Police FC goalkeeper coach Adul Idd Salim has shared his optimism about the team as they gear up for the upcoming 2023/2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season.

The Law Enforcers have been making waves with their formidable defensive records, and Salim is determined to continue their impressive performance on the field.

With a remarkable defensive feat of conceding a mere 22 goals last season, the Law Enforcers showcased their prowess as one of the league's most solid rearguard units.

This achievement secured them the joint second-lowest tally in terms of goals conceded, just behind KCB, who impressively conceded only 19 goals and level with champions Gor Mahia.

Salim, a former Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards, and Harambee Stars player, exuded optimism regarding the upcoming season, particularly highlighting the exceptional performance of his goalkeepers during the recent tour of Rwanda and Tanzania.

"All of my goalkeepers delivered exceptional performances during the recent tour of Rwanda and Tanzania, and I'm pleased to report that they are all in excellent condition as we approach the upcoming league season," Salim stated in an interview with Pulse Sports

Among the talents in his squad is young goalkeeper Ruben Juma, whose playing minutes were rumoured to be limited, potentially leading to his departure from the club.

However, Salim emphatically quashed these speculations, emphasizing Juma's significance in the team's strategic plans.

"We are thrilled to have Ruben Juma as an integral part of our strategic plans. Notably, he embodies the essence of a promising young goalkeeper who deeply resonates with the club's resolute vision of clinching our inaugural league championship," Salim affirmed.

Last season, Job Ochieng took the spotlight with an impressive performance in 28 matches, conceding only 19 goals while securing an impressive 14 clean sheets.

Additionally, Patrick Matasi's mid-season inclusion in the team, despite being limited to just five matches due to a groin injury, showcased his immense talent and potential.

Even young goalkeeper Ruben Juma, though he had a limited role as a substitute, demonstrated his readiness and commitment whenever called upon.

His brief appearance on the field epitomised his determination to contribute to the team's success whenever the opportunity arose.

Salim's credentials as a qualified goalkeeping coach, holding a European Football Federation (UEFA) certificate, further reinforce the Law Enforcers' commitment to nurturing talent and maintaining a high level of performance.
