Last week Adeyemi recalled his heartwarming journey to starting up his foundation to help grassroots football in Nigeria.
He posted pictures on his Instagram page with more than 1.2 million followers as he wrote:

The connection to the country and its vibrant culture was immediate, and one of my fondest memories was spending time with my extended family, relishing in the joy of playing football on the bustling streets of Ibadan. It was during those formative years that I made a solemn promise to my father: I wanted to contribute and uplift the people of Nigeria.
"In 2019, that promise manifested as Karim Adeyemi Foundation, a platform designed alongside my family to catalyze change within underserved communities.

Utilizing an engaging football concept and guided by our credo, EveryfaceDeserveASmile, we aimed to nurture their dreams. "With the unwavering support of BVB, Karim Adeyemi Foundation achieved a significant milestone: the commissioning of a water project that now provides clean, drinkable water to 20,000 people within the community—a sight that brought smiles to every face.

This project includes the construction of two residential buildings, named after Adeyemi and Ndidi, equipped with 96 fully air-conditioned beds, 24-hour power supply, solar backup, treated water facilities, and top-notch shower and changing rooms.
