Former Tanzania Prisons FC duo reunites with high hopes for glory.

Kakamega Homeboyz have bolstered their squad ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup debut with the signing of Tanzania U23 international Oscar Adam Paul.

The exciting winger finalised the deal with the FKF Cup champions on Friday, under the mentorship of head coach Patrick Odhiambo, who had previously guided him during their time at Tanzania Prisons FC.

Before making the move to Homeboyz, Oscar traveled to Italy for trials, adding a brief international flavor to his journey.

His contract comes with an intriguing option, allowing him to return to Italy in October for another opportunity to join a team there.

Having trained with the Abana Abeingo for the past few weeks, Oscar's addition to the squad is now confirmed, as the team gears up for the 2023/2023 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season.

Patrick Odhiambo’s coached side is not only focusing on strengthening their squad for domestic competitions but also setting their sights on a remarkable run in the Confederation Cup.

The FKF Cup champions will face Libya's Al Hilal in the first round. The dates for these thrilling encounters are set between August 18 and 20 for the first leg, and August 25 and 27 for the return leg.

The path to the CAF Confederation Cup was paved for Homeboyz after their triumph in the FKF Cup last month.

The team delivered a stunning performance, securing a 1-0 victory against Tusker FC at the Nyayo National Stadium.

With this win, they booked their spot in the prestigious continental competition and are now eager to make a mark on the international stage.

The stakes are high for Homeboyz in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup fixtures. The winner of their first-round clash with Al Hilal will progress to face Rayon Sports of Rwanda in the second preliminary round.

Abana Abeingo will be the sole representative of Kenya in the Confederation Cup, as Gor Mahia was regrettably disqualified after failing the club licensing rules for failure to pay former players.
