Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta and club sporting director Edu Gasper speak on their new signing.
Arsenal announced today that they have signed Jorginho from Chelsea on a permanent deal, and Arsenal’s manager had plenty to say about his new signing, including how intelligent and experienced he is.

Arsenal officially announced the signing of the Italy international today from Chelsea; the fee is reported to be in the region of €11.30 million.

The Gunners signed Jorginho after a failed hunt for Caicedo as cover in the defensive-midfield position, and the Arsenal manager was evidently excited about the alternative the club went for.
Arterta, elated about his new signing, believes Frello to be an intelligent footballer with admirable leadership qualities and a wealth of experience. The Spanish manager also made sure to state that Jorginho still had the hunger to win things despite his lustrous trophy cabinet.
“Jorginho is a midfield player with intelligence, deep leadership skills, and a huge amount of Premier League and international experience,” Arteta said.
“Jorginho has won in his career, but he still has the hunger and huge willingness to contribute here. We are so pleased to sign Jorginho and welcome him and his family to the club.”
Arsenal’s sporting director Edu Gasper, who is responsible for the other interesting signings Arsenal have made this transfer window in Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard, was also happy about his new acquisition and believes Jorginho would bring good qualities to the squad he has been very influential in building.
Edu assures that Jorginho fits Arsenal’s style and trusts that he will bring leadership and professionalism to the squad.
‘Jorginho is an established professional with a strong mentality who brings quality and experience into our squad,” Edu said per the club’s website.
"He is a player who fits our style of play, and he joins us at a very good moment where he can contribute in a key position to help maintain our momentum. We welcome Jorginho to Arsenal.”

Jorginho would wear the No. 20 jersey at Arsenal and immediately be integrated into the squad of the current league leaders.
