Alex Iwobi has declared that its a fight to stay out of relegation when they play Bournemouth at home in their Premier League match of the season.

Alex Iwobi has stated that Everton will not like to go down relegation as they host Bournemouth on the final day of the 2022-23 season.

The Premier League season will be drawing its curtains on Sunday, May 28, when all matchday 38 games will be played simultaneously across all centres in England.

The Toffees were on the brink of being relegated into the Championships last season and they face the same ordeal in the current campaign.

And one of their best performers of the season Iwobi has said that the game at Merseyside will be a do or die affair.

The Nigerian international added that players of the club would not want the rich history of the club to go down the waters on the final day of the season.

Iwobi was quoted by British news media outlet Mirror:

“Yeah, there is a massive gulf, and no disrespect to the Championship, but you don’t want to go in it.

“Everyone sees the Premier League as the best league in the world, and that’s where we want to stay. Honestly, we are not thinking about going into the Championship, not in my mind, I am just making sure next season we are in the Premier League.”
