Bayer Leverkusen's Super Eagles star opens up on his future in a recent interview.
Super Eagles forward Nathan Tella has expressed his desire to continue at Bayer Leverkusen amid rumours linking him with a move back to England.
The 25-year-old joined Die Werkself in the summer of 2023, and while he has shown promise in parts, he has yet to establish himself as a regular starter, scoring only two goals last season in 17 Bundesliga starts.

Boniface ignored, Tella caged as Guirassy and Adeyemi ruin farewell party for Leverkusen's boss
Borussia Dortmund came from behind to beat Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 at BayArena, with Guirassy and Adeyemi shining as Boniface was left on the bench and Tella contained in Alonso’s farewell match.
He has a contract with Leverkusen until 2028; however, he has attracted interest from Premier League clubs, but Tella said he is happy to remain at the German club.
What Tella said
The former Southampton man had an interview with Flashscore recently and was asked about the interest from the Premier League, and he had the following to say:
“I'm still happy to be here (at Bayer Leverkusen),” Tella said. “I want to stay there. This is the club they signed me and it's an honour for them to sign me.

"When I first heard that they wanted to sign me, I kind of couldn't believe it because I was playing in the second division and to have a team of that stature to even show interest in me was incredible.
"But the fact that I was able to be there, have the opportunity to play for them, win trophies there, I still feel like I've got more to give. So, I'm really looking forward to my future there.”
