Trent Alexander-Arnold broke down as he said goodbye to Liverpool ahead of a potential move to Real Madrid.

On an emotional afternoon at Anfield, Trent Alexander-Arnold cried as he said goodbye to Liverpool.

The 26-year-old defender, a lifelong Liverpool fan and club legend, couldn’t hold back tears after his last game in a Liverpool jersey.

He came on as a substitute at halftime in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace to close out the Premier League season. The game didn’t matter much for the standings, but for Trent and the Anfield crowd, it meant everything.

After the final whistle, Trent, who joined Liverpool’s academy at six, shared heartfelt words about his deep connection to the club and its fans.

“From the bottom of my heart, I hope that one day the fans, supporters will recognise what I did for the team.

“There was never a minute I didn’t think about the team. Since I was six years old, it’s always been about Liverpool. To get the reception I got means a lot to me… I never felt so loved!”
