Sebastien Migne appointed Haiti's national football team coach bringing extensive experience to aim for World Cup qualification after 50 years.

Former Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne has been appointed as the new head coach of the Haiti national football team.

The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) made the announcement on March 8 signaling a new chapter for Les Grenadiers under Migne's experienced guidance.

Mign comes to the position following a recent tenure as an assistant head coach with the Cameroon national team.

"We are pleased to announce the appointment of Sébastien Migné as the new coach of the senior men's national team of the Haitian Football Federation," the FHF stated in a release.

With a career that has seen him work alongside renowned coaches like Claude Le Roy and Jean-Pierre Papin, Migne has cultivated a deep tactical expertise and a visionary approach to the game.

His track record is impressive, highlighted by leading the Oman national team to a Persian Gulf Cup victory and taking the Kenyan national team to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after a 15-year hiatus.

The latter achievement earned the team a nomination for the CAF Awards as the Best Men's Team of the Year.

Migne's coaching philosophy, characterized by hard work, commitment, and a passion for football, has brought him success in various capacities.

Besides Kenya, he has held head coach positions with the Republic of Congo and Equatorial Guinea and contributed significantly to Cameroon's national team as an assistant coach.

The Haitian Football Federation is optimistic about Migne's appointment, believing in his ability to infuse new energy into the team and steer Haiti towards achieving its long-awaited goals.

"With his impressive record and his passion for football, the Federation is convinced that Sebastien Migné will bring new impetus to the national team and help us achieve new successes on the international scene," the FHF expressed.

One of the most ambitious goals is to secure Haiti's return to the World Cup a feat not accomplished in over 50 years.
