Father Christmas Move: Remo Stars show love to Ikenne community with goody bags

NPFL leaders Remo Stars have put smiles on the faces of their fans in Ikenne with a celebration of love.

Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, side Remo Stars have demonstrated their commitment to community engagement by showering their fans in Ikenne with love this festive season.

Remo Stars took to the streets to spread the love with delightful goodies for their supporters to emphasise the spirit of the season.

The outreach was aimed at showcasing the essence of the season and was led by the club captain Junior Nduka. 

Per a statement from the club, the goodies shared with their fans this Christmas season were essential commodities that will prove invaluable to the people in Ikenne.

Remo Stars, renowned for their brilliance on the football pitch, having taken the 2023/2024 NPFL season by storm, have now become the symbol of benevolence off the pitch. 

The latest move by the Sky Blues has seen them fo beyond the pitch as they handed out bags that contained items like rice, garri, and ground oil amongst other things.

Nduka explains idea

Speaking on behalf of the club, club leader and captain, Nduka, noted that the gesture was an essential one to show love and kindness towards their supporters this season for their support throughout the year.

 “It’s a season of love and kindness, and we’ve chosen to seize this moment to extend our hands of love to our fans and the community who’ve been with us throughout the year,” Nduka said according to the club website.

“They bought tickets and cheered for us, and we are sincerely grateful for such gestures,” he added.

This thoughtful act not only reinforces Remo Stars’ commitment to their local community but also highlights the club’s dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.
