Ex-Totthenham stars Harry Kane and Eric Dier celebrate first career trophy in style
Harry Kane and Eric Dier have finally tasted sweet victory, celebrating their first career titles as Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga championship with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach at the Allianz Arena.
Kane, who made the high-profile switch from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 with the explicit aim of winning silverware, saw his ambition realised in his second season in Germany.
He fittingly contributed to the title-clinching win, scoring one of Bayern's two goals.
Adding to the significance for the English contingent, Kane's former Spurs teammate Eric Dier joined him in Munich just six months later.
On Saturday, the defender was right alongside Kane in the jubilant celebrations that erupted after the final whistle.
Footage captured the pair, soaked in celebratory beer, revelling in their long-awaited triumph.
Kane, beaming, turned to Dier and exclaimed, "Hey! How does it feel?" To which a delighted Dier replied, "Better than anyone ever said it is!" Kane then roared, "Champions, baby! Champions!"
For Dier, this Bundesliga title marks a memorable end to his short spell in Bavaria. Having joined Bayern on a temporary basis, he departs with a winners' medal.
It has been confirmed that he is now set to embark on a new chapter, joining Ligue 1 side AS Monaco as a free agent upon the expiration of his current contract.
Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich will play their final Bundesliga game on June 17th before featuring at the expanded FIFA Club World Cup in June.
