Manchester City will take their chance against Real Madrid in their second leg Champions League semi final clash at the Etihad.

Manchester City will host Real Marid at the Etihad in their quest to qualify for their second Champions League final ever.

The Citizens played out an impressive 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu and will be looking to put the tie to bed against the defending champions.

The game is a repeat of last season’s semi final where the unexpected happened as City were miraculously dumped out of the competition.

Here 3 reasons Man City will qualify for the Champions League final at the expense of Real Madrid

1. Current form

Pep Guardiola’s men are the most in-form side in Europe lately winning their last 14 matches on a roll at home, scoring 47 goals in the process.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men will have to consider the record when traveling down to the city of Manchester in the return fixture.

2. Madrid have never beaten City at home

The history between both sides at the Etihad also speaks for itself as the 13-time champions have never recorded an away victory against the Sky Blues.

The Galaticos played a 1-1 draw in the 2012-13 season in the group phase as both sides also settled for a 0-0 scoreline in the semi final clash during the 2015-16 season, then lost 2-1 in the 2019-20 campaign and 4-3 last term.

3. Man City have Erling Haaland

The reigning Premier League champions did not have Erling Haaland in their squad who currently has 52 goals this season.

Despite not finding the back of the net in the first leg at Bernabeu, Madrid will have his hands full when the Norwegian striker takes his chance
