Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the situation of a frustrated Juventus star.

Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic is reportedly contemplating a move away from Juventus, and Chelsea are named as one of the clubs monitoring his situation.

The 23-year-old forward joined the Old Lady in the winter transfer window last year but has failed to reach the expected heights. He is now said to be seriously considering leaving Juventus a little over a year after signing.

Vlahovic on Chelsea’s radar

GetfootballNewsItaly reports that Vlahovic and 'several people close to him' are growing increasingly frustrated by Juventus's career so far, and are evaluating a possible move away from the club.

Vlahovic has only managed eight goals in 21 league games this season, and the set-up of Maximiliano Alegri is faulted for not fully optimising the striker's abilities, per the same reports.

With his reported unhappy situation in mind, West London giants Chelsea are said to be interested in the Serb's services in the summer. Should they decide to make a move, they are expected to face competition from Bayern Munich, who are also in the market for a striker and keeping tabs on Vlahovic.

The Old Lady are also said to be prepared for a possible exit for the former Fiorentina man and are expected to quote a price lower than the reported €81 million fee they signed him for from Fiorentina.

Lukaku set for a return

As previously reported, Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, currently on loan at Inter, is set to return to the club in the summer after the Nerazzurri decided that they would not be exercising their option to make the deal permanent

Lukaku was expected to make a career comeback with Inter after an underwhelming 2021/22 season with Chelsea but has failed to reignite his career in Milan this season while on loan.

The Belgian forward returned to Inter, where he made fond memories in his first spell with the club between 2019 and 2021 when he scored 64 goals in 95 games, helping the Nerazzurri break Juventus’ dominance in Italy and claim the 2020/21 Serie A title at the start of this season.
