Chelsea are reportedly open to using Aubameyang and Marc Cucurella as a makeweight for the Joao Felix deal.

West London club, Chelsea have reportedly proposed the option of including Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Marc Cucurella in a swap deal with Atletico Madrid for Joao Felix.

The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Chelsea from the Madrid-based club, and the Blues are said to be interested in making the move permanent; however, the €100 million asking price from the Rojiblancos proves to be a stumbling block.

The Blues have reportedly made several contacts with Felix's parent club, and they have refused to budge on their asking price.

In a report by the Evening Standard, Atletico Madrid are interested in Aubameyang and Cucurella, and Chelsea have taken the opportunity to propose a swap deal to enable them reduce the asking price for the Portuguese.

Despite only signing Cucurella recently for a significant amount, the Blues are reportedly open to seeing him leave as they plan a massive squad cut in the summer to improve the conditions for the next manager and boost their finances.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has confessed to being open to a return to Barcelona in the summer after failing to impose himself on the Blues’ team.

The Gabon international only just joined Chelsea from Barcelona at the start of the 2022/23 season in a £10.3 million deal, but he is already willing to return to Spain to escape the torrid season he has had in London.

The forward has played only 15 Premier League matches, starting only five times for the Blues, with only one goal in the league and three in all competitions.
