James missed the victory over Leeds on Saturday with a tight hamstring but ahead of Tuesday’s game at Stamford Bridge, he took part in a full session at Cobham and should be available for selection for Graham Potter.

N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic also took part in Monday’s session, but Cesar Azpilicueta was not involved.

Chelsea welcome Dortmund to Stamford Bridge looking to overturn a one-goal deficit after losing the first leg in Germany three weeks ago.

Karim Adeyemi scored the only goal of the game but is an injury doubt after suffering an injury last weekend.

The win over Leeds was Chelsea’s first in the Premier League since January 15 to ease some pressure on head coach Potter. They return to domestic action away at Leicester City on Saturday.
