The Blues cannot catch a break on social media after one of their biggest legends was criticised for doing a promotional video for adult content

Chelsea fans have been left in dismay after one of the club’s biggest legends Gianfranco Zola was seen publicising an OnlyFans adult content page.

Zola’s fantastic Chelsea career

Italian ex-forward Zola is one of the most renowned figures in Chelsea history after starring for the Blues for seven years between 1996 and 2003, scoring 80 goals and providing 38 assists in 312 games for the club.

Wearing the now-iconic number 25 jersey, Zola was a star for Chelsea as they claimed two FA Cups as well as a League Cup, UEFA Cup Winners Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Charity Shield trophies in his eventful spell with the Blues, placing himself among the most recognisable players in Chelsea history.

During his time with the Blues, Zola was named FWA Player of the Year in 1997 as well as Chelsea Player of the Year in 1999 and 2003, while also being selected in Chelsea’s greatest XI during their centenary celebrations.

Zola’s exploits also saw him awarded as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire and inducted in both the English and Italian Football Halls of Fame.

Fans ashamed after Zola promotes Onlyfans model

Zola’s standing with Chelsea fans came under scrutiny recently after the Italian was seen promoting the Onlyfans page of popular Blues fan Astrid Wett in a viral video.

The former Chelsea and Napoli forward appeared in a video alongside Wett, whose infamy has risen recently, and encouraged fans to subscribe to the model and boxer’s Onlyfans page.

Some Chelsea fans were convinced that Zola was just trying to help Wett grow her fan base without realising that she was an Onlyfans model, but other Blues faithful and rival fans were of the opinion that the former Italy international was aware of what he was promoting, prompting them to lament the decay in the London Club.
