CAF unveils Nnadozie, two others for Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the finalists for the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year category at the CAF Awards 2025.
The shortlist, revealed via CAF’s official X handle, features three standouts whose performances have defined women’s football over the past year.
The Finalists
Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria, Brighton & Hove Albion)
Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie remains the fan favourite and global headline-maker. Now starring for Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Women’s Super League, the 24-year-old has built a reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
Fresh off her outstanding showing at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where she won Best Goalkeeper and helped Nigeria to win the historic 10th WAFCON title.
Khadija Er-Rmichi (Morocco, AS FAR)
Er-Rmichi continues to raise the bar for Moroccan women’s football. A pillar between the sticks for AS FAR, she has delivered commanding performances at both club and international levels.
Andile Dlamini (South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns)
South Africa’s Andile Dlamini brings experience and elite shot-stopping ability to the race.
The 2022 WAFCON Goalkeeper of the Year continues to shine brightly, recording three clean sheets at WAFCON 2024 and producing clutch performances for Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.
