Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has addressed the speculation linking him away from the club next season.

Manchester United's star midfielder and captain, Bruno Fernandes, has addressed his future at the club following a crucial 3-2 victory against Newcastle on Wednesday night.

Returning from injury, Fernandes played a pivotal role in securing the win at Old Trafford, reigniting hopes of European football for the Red Devils under manager Erik ten Hag.

However, amidst speculation linking him to various clubs across Europe, including Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, as well as a potential move to Saudi Arabia to reunite with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, Fernandes remained firm about his desire to stay at United.

Nonetheless, he left the door open for a potential departure if the club decides to pursue a different direction.

“I will be here,” Fernandes told Sky Sports as he looked ahead to next season.

“The club needs to want me and the club wants me to be a part of the future so as I said always – I don’t want to be a player the club doesn’t want to have. If for some reason they don’t want me I will go.”

The match against Newcastle could possibly mark Fernandes' farewell at Old Trafford, as United wrap up a challenging season with a victory at home.

Despite this, the 29-year-old emphasised his complete focus on the remaining fixtures, urging his teammates to maintain their concentration for the upcoming matches against Brighton and arch-rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

“Obviously the job isn’t finished yet. We still have one game in the Premier League and then we have the biggest game of the season in the FA Cup,” he added.

“It’s been a tough season. Everyone knows that the table shows we don’t have to hide from that. We know it. The fans have been amazing all season and have been behind us and supporting us.”

With United striving to secure a top-seven finish and seeking redemption after last year's cup final defeat to City, Fernandes encouraged his team to conclude the disappointing campaign on a positive note.

As speculation swirls around his future, Fernandes remains committed to leading United to success in their final battles of the season.
