Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala and Victor Osimhen were the biggest winners at the CAFAwards2023in Morocco.

African Women’s Footballer of the Year Asisat Oshoala had an epic reaction to the historic night at the CAFAwards2023 for her friend Victor Osimhen. 

Oshoala, affectionately known as ‘Agba Baller’ and Osimhen emerged as the biggest winners in Morocco after they were crowned the new Queen and King of African football. 

Super Falcons star, Oshoala, was in and around the stage to witness Osimhne’s historic moment. 

Oismhen’s Historic Triumph

As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, after 24 years, Nigeria has another African Player of the Year winner.

The 24-year-old was crowned in Morocco on Monday night as the new king of African football, a climax to what has been an excellent 12 months for the Napoli icon.

Osimhen’s victory reverberated throughout the Nigerian football community, with social media agog for the Super Eagles star.

Oshoala ‘Agba Baller’ Cheers on Osimhen

Following the win, a brilliant double for Nigeria, Oshoala, herself a trailblazer in Women’s Football after taking home a historic sixth Player of the Year award, couldn’t contain her excitement for his friend and boy from Olusosun Street. 

“Come on Victor, that’s my boy,” an excited Oshoala screamed in a video posted on TikTok as Osimhen was announced as the winner.

“What? The boy from Olusosun Street, let’s go,” she added.

The Barcelona Femeni star in the video highlights Osimhen’s journey from humble beginnings to the pinnacle of African football while underscoring a sense of pride and connection between two of Nigeria’s shining lights in the game at the moment.
