Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has won Udinese's Player of the Month award for February, highlighting his impressive form despite the team's recent 2-0 home defeat to Torino.

Okoye's award recognizes his strong contributions throughout February. He played all four of Udinese's Serie A matches, helping them secure two wins, a draw, and one defeat. Crucially, he kept clean sheets in games against Monza and Juventus.

Okoye Super Form since joining Udinese

This recognition comes as Okoye rediscovered his top form since joining Udinese last summer. He has now kept a total of three clean sheets in his 13 Serie A appearances this season, conceding 18 goals overall.

Okoye’s impressive performance opens door for the Super Eagles return

Okoye's impressive performances could pave the way for a return to the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles.

However, he faces competition from Stanley Nwabali, who solidified his position as the number one goalkeeper with his heroics at the just-concluded Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria won the silver medal.
