Barcelona are looking to make it three consecutive appearances in the final when they host they go head-to-head with the Blues later today.

The LaLiga ladies go into the semifinal second leg with a narrow 1-0 on aggregate following the win from the first leg at Stamford Bridge.

Barcelona Femeni

With the Catalans at home for the decisive second leg, here are three reasons why Barcelona are favourites and Chelsea stand no chance.

Alexia Putellas returns

For the first time this season, Alexia Putellas is available for the Barcelona ladies following a battle with injury.

Alexia Putellas is a two-time Ballon d'Or.

Putellas’s return coincided with the loss of Lucy Bronze who is out after she had knee surgery which will keep her out for a while.

The two-time Ballon d’Or winner has been out since last July after she picked up an ACl but her return is a major boost for the Femeni.

Barcelona’s impressive run

Chelsea are in for a long night against the LaLiga giants who do not know how to lose especially at home.

The win over the Blues last week saw Barcelona extend their unbeaten run to 19 matches across all competition.

Apart from that, the Femeni, who also have Nigeria’s Oshoala, are unbeaten in 17 matches at Camp Nou where they host the Blues on Thursday.

The numbers are not in favour of the English side at all, they are the underdogs in this game.

Heading into the decisive second leg, the Blues will be looking for their first-ever win over Barcelona ladies.

The game tonight will be the third meeting between the two teams, with Barcelona winning the previous two with an aggregate score of five goals.
